What a Girl can do :)

I am not going to debate on who is superior " Boy or Girl". I am never going to argue on that because both are totally different in most aspects and have their own strengths and weakness. The interesting fact is that both complement each other and it would be really a nightmare to be in a world with just guys or girls. At least for me I would prefer being in an environment with a little glamour quotient than in a Mechanical department. :) No offense intended.

Coming back to what a girl can do, many argue that they can do anything what a guy can do but not many can substantiate the statement. But a few days back I realised what a girl can do that guys can never. We travelled in an auto from not knowing that we had no change to pay for the Auto.So when we reached the place we searched in our wallets only to find a couple of 500 denominations. So I requested for change almost in all shops and even to the auto drivers in that location without much luck. :( ....

All I had to do was give th 500 to a girl and send her to the same shop where they denied me change and she just returned with 5*100 notes in just couple of mintues. It was bloody frustrating, but then realised it is after all a Girl's world and everyone is as poruki as I am :) I left the place wondering about chanakya's quote which goes like this..

The world's biggest power is the youth and beauty of a woman." ....

Dress Code...

This is one topic that has been the most debated one and also will be a most debated one for long time... :)

Somehow people don't come to terms with basic human rights and end up accusing a group of people for their dress code. The group which is most affected is women in this issue. I really pity them for that fact they come under scrutiny most times. I really can't imagine Sania Mirza playing her matches in gowns covering her length and breadth. She would be out of the circuit for good. She gets noticed for her dress than her powerful forehand strokes which she is very good at.

In yet another incident an actress was accused by few politicians or the so called social activists for wearing skimpy clothes for one of the function presided by the CM.That was a bloody cheap attempt to be in news :) I am sure they would have drooled over her in the function before accusing her in the press... :)  I would like to see these people, running the government ban movies for the usage of skimpy clothes. I am sure theatres and mutiplexes will be out of business. The funniest thing here is the accusers should watch the movie produced by CM's son before making such accusation.I wonder why is that only women are targeted for the dress code. In my opinion few heroes should be hanged to death for their colorful costumes. You know who I mean here ... :)

I also find it strange to see that remarks of these kind on women don't come from the female celebrities ! It is generally men who make the most noise. They are so keen in what their opposite sex wears than they themself :) To me there should be nothing called as dress code expect for the educational institutions and servcies. It is  a human right to wear what he or she feels comfortable for her and to the ocassion. As long as they are ok with what they wear it is perfectly fine. We can of course make comments on what they wear and how it suits them but never force or order them to follow a dress code. In one of the talk shows a year an actress claimed that it is their wish and they will wear anything they feel like. I completely second her thoughts as long as she wears something :)

At the sametime I wouldn't like to hear women saying
Che indecent fellow , Epadi pakuran paaru...
Chi karumam enga paakuran paru di avan...
Evanuga yellam thirunthavae maatanuga...
Thirunthadha jenmam di avan vidu ......
so on and so forth. That's totally unfair.

PS : No offense intended on anyone in particular.

What Dollars can do :)

A family in Gujarat was puzzled when the coffin of their dead mother (Ba) arrived from the US . It was sent by one of the daughters.

The dead body was very tightly squeezed inside the coffin, with no space left in it when they opened the lid; they found a letter on top addressed to her brothers and sisters:

Dear Chandrakantbhai, Arvindbhai,Smitaben and Varsha ,

I am sending Ba's body to you, since it was her wish that she should be cremated in the compound of our ancestral home in GUJARAT. Sorry, I could not come along as all of my paid leave is consumed. You will find inside the coffin, under Ba's body, cans of cheese, 10 packets of Tobler chocolates and 8 packets of Badam (peanuts) please divide these among all of you. On Ba's feet you will find a new pair of Reebok shoes (size 10) for Mohan. There are also 2 pairs of shoes for Radha's and Lakshmi's sons. Hope the sizes are correct. Ba is wearing 6 American T-Shirts. The large size is for Mohan. Just distribute the rest among yourselves. The 2 new Jeans that Ba is wearing are for the boys. The Swiss watch that Reema wanted is on Ba's left wrist. Shanta masi, Ba is wearing the necklace, earrings and ring that you asked for. Please take them off her..The 6 white cotton socks that Ba is wearing must be divided among my nephews Please distribute all these fairly.

Love - Nitu.

PS : If anything more required let me know soon as Bapuji is also not feeling too well now a days.

This is one of the forwards that I received today and was really wondering if there are people like Nitu. I pray and hope not. Though things are blown out of proportion here, I happen to know a guy who stayed in USA instead of attending his mother's funeral just to safe his position in this recession there in USA. I should be addresing the guy as an animal here. Well the after effects is that he was sent back just after couple of months. I somehow felt little happy hearing that with a villanious smile in my heart ... :)

Does dollars have more value than our loved ones ????

Obviously it is not, 200 %

Break-Up

I have already posted on this topic here. What made me start another post about this is a fantastic movie called Nadodigal. To say in a sentence, it is a classic piece of work by the director and the cast with minimum flaws.

Talking on the movie, the major plus to it is the dialogues and it's delivery especially by Sashi. I just loved hearing the native accent of Madurai which is proving to be winner is most movies ignoring the movies used to turn Black to white .. :) Though the movie lost its momentum in the later parts it was worth the watch. The comedy was carried all the way along with the story and the cast handled it really well. The atthai ponnu "Anaya" was great with her expressions, but turned out to be a pretty normal girl going against her wish and crying her whole life about that. The father guiding his son on love was something good to see happening at least in the screen :) In fact each and every character was portrayed in manner that they left an impression though small but strong in our minds.

The three main characters including Sashi helps his friend in getting married to a girl against their parents wishes with great difficult sacrificing a lot. This was so cinematic and I can bet not many will do 1% of what the they do even for their closest friend, leave alone a common friend. But then there are still few fools like this even now.... :) The climax was the best ending this movie could have had and I really appreciate the director for not turning the characters into killing spree as done in most movies.

Back to break-ups. Is it really a sin to have a break-up.....? I guess not at all. When 2 people get together they have their own expectations out of each other, and when that is not met we have a barrier developing between them. There is no real threat to the relationship as long as the barrier is to an acceptable level but, if that's growing higher and higher then it is better we have break-up instead of continuing it which is a pain for both involved. They can remain friends forever even after the break-up. I don't see any reason why they can't ..... :) Well having said this, if only one is not interested in the relationship anymore and wants a break-up then that's called ditching , a word most associated with girls barring few guys :) Well at least from what I have seen it has been mostly the girls (99.99%). I am not going argue about the reason behind it. Those are obvious.... :)

The major problem is that people get along just on physical attraction and call that to be love. So once they out of the physical desire they end up in a break-up. This is ridiculous. I would prefer people being open on their intentions in a relationship. It is better to be together and see if things work between them and then fall in love rather than jumping in too early and regretting the thought later. In simple you can better call it a pre-marital affair if that is what your intentions are, that way people will not mistake true lovers. That's the whole point brought in the and I very much agree to that.
